What we offer as a Trust

EMPOWERING SCHOOLS

Each school is within our Trust is unique, with its own community but with shared values across the Trust. Our aim is to empower each school to become the best possible provider of education to its own children and through this to raise the quality of education available to all children educated within our Trust.  Through the highest standards of leadership support and accountability, MET empowers its schools. Our schools are challenged and supported to improve themselves to a bespoke agenda, making decisions and choices in the best interests of their stakeholders.

EXPERTISE AT ALL PHASES

Outstanding practitioners in every age range, innovating and sharing great practice within and beyond our Trust. We will have strength in depth and breadth, developing strong middle leaders and inspirational practitioners. We love being a cross-phase Trust and enjoy the added benefit of working with and learning from our colleagues with expertise in teaching and learning at phases other than our own.

PUPIL JOURNEY

Our goal is to enable every child who wishes to be able to progress through MET schools.  Where a student is able to attend MET schools from Early Years to GCSE and beyond, their education will be underpinned by shared values and consistently strong, ethically-led leadership. Our schools will work in regular and close partnership, meaning families benefit from continuity of communication and systems. High quality transition and liaison enables us to better meet the needs of students, particularly at key points in their educational journey.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

High quality staff at every level. At the Trust we have the highest expectations of our staff. We understand that teachers are the heart of our schools and have the biggest impact on a student’s experience. Our high quality staff development raises standards of teaching and learning in our classrooms.  We have developed strong local and national partnerships, such as the local Teaching School alliance, the MFL Hub (located in one of the Trust's own schools) and the Maths Hub and draw upon these to ensure that al our staff receive the best possible support and training.  Leadership development is a key focus of our Trust, with a dedicated Head of Leadership Development. All MET leaders are committed to and benefit from a robust programme of support and development.

PEER TO PEER SUPPORT

The best learning takes place by working with colleagues as experts.  At  the Trust we are already growing networks of professionals within and across our Trust, strengthening and deepening each other’s knowledge, understanding and practice. We purposefully create opportunities for informal peer-to-peer support alongside formal networks for our middle and senior leaders.

Work with us

We are a forward-thinking Trust who recognise that our staff are our most precious resource. Our school improvement approach is all about long term, sustainable, high-quality provision. We aim to appoint and develop professionals who have high expectations, are highly motivated and wish to work collaboratively with others to ensure all children within our Trust have the best possible provision.

Being committed to excellence, we will ensure our staff are supported individually and collectively, building strong partnerships, to help us to achieve our aims and goals.
